FOUR mates conquering an epic charity bike ride from London to Melbourne have arrived on the Coffs Coast on the home stretch of an epic adventure.

Ride2Rescue riders Daniel Seehusen, John Clark, Tim Holman and Aaron Turner have peddled 22,000 kilometres since riding from London to Dover in April last year and crossing four continents.

The amazing journey has seen them cycle through Europe along the Danube and Rhine, through Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and China before reaching Australian shores.

Challenged by roadworks on the Pacific Highway, the foursome plan to push off from Coffs on Wednesday bound for Port Macquarie.

From there they face a mostly downhill cycle of 4000km to complete their goal in Melbourne.

"Daniel and I decided we wanted to cycle back from London to Australia and we met up with Tim who had worked with World Vision and he suggested we should do it for charity and the next thing Tim and Aaron were on the ride with us," John said.

"We are fundraising along the way and exposing the reality of child trafficking that exists throughout the world.

"Child trafficking is said to be the third most profitable industry worldwide, after drugs and weapons."

So far the cycle has raised $25,000.
