Derby Dolls exchange high heels for skating carnage

NEXT Saturday, Coffs Coast Derby Dolls host the final round of the North Coast Derby Coalition tournament at Sportz Central.

Billed as Coastal Carnage, the double-header will see Clarence Valley League take on The Bay Rollers while Coffs Harbour team Daughters of Mayhem will square off against undefeated BattleStars.

Coffs Mayhem skater Matilda ACE Inhibitor McNab is looking forward to the challenge.

"I'm nervous but mostly excited," she said.

Four weeks back Daughters of Mayhem took on Nasty Nancies from Brisbane and while the northerners were too good, ACE Inhibitor says it was a great experience.

"After our last bout, I was a tad worn out but proud to have fought hard and put up a fair fight," she said.

"It was as a team effort and we stuck together no matter how hard it felt.

"If you haven't been to a Coffs Coast Derby Dolls event come out to support us on Saturday."

Coastal Carnage is the final CCDD bout for 2012.

Tickets are $10 with kids under seven free and available from Twilight Mystique, eDegrees, or Sportz Central.

Doors open at 5pm and the first game starts at 6pm.
