Website is a muso match made in cyberspace heaven

SOMETIMES the answer is as obvious as the nose on your face.

Or, in the case of musomatch.com.au founder Nick Townsend, the drumsticks in your hand.

Arriving in Australia from the UK in 2007, Nick immediately started looking for a band to play with.

After trying the usual methods - reading the handwritten notices in music shops, asking around his mates and their mates - Nick realised that life would be much easier if there were a dedicated online space for musicians.

"I've had to save the money to get the website up and running, now finally it's here," Nick said. "The response has been great, people from all over are starting to get involved."

Users sign up for free to the site, and can search for fellow musicians to form a band; share info, chat and advertise skills; look for local classes and shops; or just get to know the musomatch.com.au network.
