FEDERAL opposition leader Tony Abbott will be in Coffs Harbour this afternoon as he drives a truck down the Pacific Hwy.
Mr Abbott's trek is aimed to highlight the poor state of the road and the costs to the economy of neglecting it as well pointing out the Coalition commitment of $5.6 billion to complete the duplication of the Pacific Hwy.
That amount includes $2.08 billion provided from funding redirected from a Sydney rail project that isn't on the State Government's priority list.
